But I don’t consider myself an Expert, I am just a working guy doing my job. And, my job just happens to be Internet Marketing. I have been in the Internet Marketing Community for a couple of years now, amd have established a name for myself as a guy who knows what he’s doing.

I have also been fortunate to have other fine Internet Marketers to work along side and learn from like Frank Kern, and Mike Filsaime. As “Easy” Ed Dale says “Internet Marketing is a Team Sport”, and he’s right, there’s only so much you can do on your own. Then to grow and really take your own Internet Marketing Business to another level, you need to work with other Internet Marketers.

So don’t get hung up on a Title, and don’t worry if you are just getting started, or if you have been with it for a while, but havent had much success yet. Stay with it, like Affiliate Marketing expert Ewen Chia always says, with Consistant, Persistent, effort you will be successful.

Just get out and get it started, like my buddy Matt Bacak likes to say, and I think he picked this up from Mike Litman, “You dont have to get it right, just get it going”!

So what’s up over at Google…

The Search Engine Marketing giant has dealt another serious blow to the Internet Marketing community. This is more bad news for Google Advertisers. A recent change to the Google AdWords algorithm has resulted in a Double Hit for advertisers:

1. Now the rates you’re paying for ads have skyrocketed
2. The conversion rates for those ads are dropping like
   flies at an insecticide factory.

It’s no wonder that Advertisers Are Pissed Off over this the latest “Google Slap”. Google it trying to pass it off saying “The plummeting click-through rates on its ads are a good thing” .

We’re Not Buying It!

Wired Magazine recently published a story on it’s blog that quoted a Google Advertiser, who calls himself Sam, as saying:

“If it were just a rate increase, I would have tolerated it. But my ad rates have doubled and I’ve got no business,” says one longtime AdWords advertiser, “Sam,” who doesn’t want his real name published for competitive reasons. He says he runs a very specialized niche service, and doesn’t want his competitors to know about his current business crisis.

Google claims that the drop in paid clicks is intentional. The logic being that: If they (Google) serve fewer but more relevant ads for a given search query, it could increase click-through rates and thereby ultimately raise the ad rates. (For Who For Them?) This in turn should be beneficial for advertisers, who may get fewer clicks, but better quality leads from their ads.

It has been an incredible 24 hours. with Mike Filsaime’s 7 Figure Secrets and this is really an amazing Case Study in Affiliate Marketing.

It started at around 3PM CST on Wed June 4th. I got a call from Mike Filsaime’s office and spoke to his Affiliate Manager. I had heard the Buzz about Mikes new program coming out and wanted to take a closer look at it.

So, I got on a conference call with Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Keith Wellman, Ross Goldberg, and a few other guys around 4 o’clock. After the call I decided to go ahead and promote the upcoming loaunch which was set for 2PM EST the next day.

I put together my Promotional page, and sent out an email to my list, and made my 1st post to the blog. Then I made another couple posts and placed those around at Blog Pros and a few other sites.

So come Lunch time I sent out another email, and sat back to see what what would happen. I had a good little rush of business, at 1st, and then a steady stream of customers all day long. At the end of the day I had about 50 Sign-ups and made a little over $500. Not to bad for sending out a couple emails and doing a couple blog posts.

I think so far Mike has had around 5,000 Sign-ups, and I’m not sure how much in sales, but if my Metrics are any indicator, he should have cleared $250,000. But the real value of Mike’s Promotion is the long term value of the customers.

This past weekend we Steve Renner held his MIT Super Advanced Workshop at the Training Facility in Bloomington, MN. It was an incredible weekend, and very successful.

The Super Advanced has a little different format. Instead of the normal Internet Marketing Training, the workshop focused on the specific needs of the students. We then actually went around the room and worked with each student to actually show them how to do whatever it is they need to get done.
